Yes, you'd get the ephemera regardless of kill/convert. Interface for trading is as per the same look, just that the console will be in the lich trading room instead of using a generic trade console. Liches/sisters can only be traded once. So as a buyer, you usually kill it so you can get both weapon and ephemera.Vanquish if you do not have a kuva Kohm or if you want one. Convert if you already have the Kuva Kohm or you do not want it. If you convert it, you can take him to the Crimson branch of your Dojo and trade him so the receiving end can obtain the ephemera too. Since eventually I want to perfect my Kuva collection when I end up feeling like it. Currently the weapons on my Kuva Weapons are semi-random because I first focused on getting each weapon for MR and all ephemeras, so I'd often get the next weapon with whatever ephemera I was pursuing at the time. As a preliminary thought I was thinking:The cost is a bit :/ since it's 21 arbitration rotations and 10k kuva, but at least it's a static reward you can work towards instead of grinding forever for a 1%-2% drop chance. It's 1 Vitus to craft it. It's 20 Vitus to buy the blueprint to begin with. Liches started out with a 5% chance to get an ephemera, which got boosted to 10% and eventually to 20%. If you really want a certain ephemera badly, you can buy a converted lich from someone else, otherwise you'll just have to keep trying.
I have noticed that the percentages have all been a lot higher than my kuva weapons ever were. For the first four ephemera, it was basically about three to six sisters to get each. I have done nine sisters in my current element and haven't gotten the ephemera yet, so either the chances are a very wide range, or maybe an issue has built up.THIS is a nifty site for looking at drop chance percentages and getting an idea of how that translates to missions. a 10% drop chance means you have a 90% probability of getting an ephemera in 22 liches and a 99% probability of getting one in 44 liches. and this is just for getting one.
